Canmore Route 5 Improvements Launch July 6th
Improvements are coming to Canmore Local (Route 5) on Saturday, July 6 and here’s what you need to know!
New Map: Canmore Local Map 2019
New Schedule: Canmore Local Schedule 2019
At a glance, the improvements will allow for:
- A single route seven days a week – less confusion between weekday and weekend routing – and an easier transit schedule to follow
- Increased weekend frequency with service every 30 minutes on Saturdays and 60 minutes on Sundays
- Seven days a week transit service for Kananaskis Way residents
- One way through Cougar Creek and Elk Run, reducing the impact to residents while improving the majority of transit travel times into town
- Service both ways to and from the Canmore Seniors Lodge, Canmore Collegiate High School and Canmore Recreation Centre
- More boarding and drop-off options for Three Sisters customers and significantly improved weekend travel times
- With the removal of the Canmore Nordic Centre due to low ridership, travel times for Three Sister’s residents are greatly improved
- Easier and more flexible connections to Canmore-Banff Regional Service
