Due to the Canada Day Parades in both Banff and Canmore there will be stop closures and detours in place on July 1 during the parade times. We recommend checking our Live Bus View on our website during parade times to confirm upcoming departure times.

Banff

Routes 1 and 2

• All downtown Banff Ave stops (from Fox Street through to Buffalo Street) will be closed including the Banff High School Field and Elk St. Transit Hub.
• Temporary stops will be in place located on Beaver Street, across from the Banff Fire Hall and at the Mount Royal Hotel parking lot for departures between 9:00 until approximately 12:00 p.m.

Route 3:

• There will be no service to the Banff Highschool Transit Hub, Fox St., Hotel Canoe, Hawk Ave Industrial stops between 9:00 a.m. and approximately 12:00 p.m.
• Rotary Park (drop off only) bus stop will also be unavailable during this time.
• Proceed to the temporary Elk St. Banff Train Station stop for service to Canmore for departures from 9:00 a.m. to approximately 12:00 p.m.

Route 4:

• Route 4 will travel between Cave & Basin and Bow Falls from 9:00 a.m. to approximately 12:00 p.m.
• Cave & Basin departures at 9:14, 10:01, 10:49 and 11:37 will not cross over the bridge into downtown Banff.

Route 6:

• There will be no service to the Banff Highschool Transit Hub, Fox St. and Hotel Canoe stops between 9:00 a.m. to approximately 12:00 p.m.
• Please proceed to the temporary Elk St. Banff Train Station stop for service to Lake Minnewanka for departures between 9:00 a.m. to approximately 12:00 p.m.

Route 8X:

• Please proceed to the temporary Elk St. Banff Train Station stop for service to Lake Louise for departures between 9:00 a.m. until approximately 12:00 p.m.

Route 9:

• The Banff High School Transit hub will be closed from 9:00 a.m. until approximately 12:00 p.m.
• The 11:55 a.m. departure to Johnston Canyon will depart from the Banff High School Transit Hub with a slight delay in departure.
• Proceed to the temporary Elk St. Banff Train Station stop for the 9:00 a.m., 10:25 a.m. and 11:55 a.m. departures to Johnston Canyon.

Canmore

Route 5C:

• From 10 a.m. to approximately 2:30 p.m. the Canmore Shopping Area stops, Canmore Collegiate North, Canmore Seniors Lodge W, 9th Street, Shopper Drug Mart stops are closed, please proceed to the Elevation Place stop for service to Cougar Creek.

Route 5T:

• From 10 a.m. to approximately 2:30 p.m. the Canmore Collegiate stops, 8th Ave, ArtsPlace, Seniors Lodge East, Railway Ave W and 8th Ave W are closed; please proceed to the temporary stop at Rundle Cres. for service to Three Sisters.

Route 3:

• From 10 a.m. to approximately 2:30 p.m. the Canmore Collegiate North, Seniors Lodge West, 9th Street and Shoppers Drug Mart are closed. Please proceed to the Bow Valley Trail or Elevation Place, or Benchlands Overpass stops for service to Banff.

Route 12:

• From 10 a.m. to approximately 2:30 p.m. Route 12 will only service between Palliser Lane and Elevation Place N.
• The bus will be running non-scheduled laps between Palliser Lane and Elevation Place – please refer to our live bus view on our website for next departure times.
• There will be no service from downtown Canmore up to Grassi Lakes Trail Head from 10 a.m. to approximately 2:30 p.m.
