New Summer Schedules for Route 1, 2 , 8X and 9! Route 4 and 6 resuming service!

Starting Friday, May 19, Banff Local Routes (Route 1 & 2), Lake Louise-Banff Regional (Route 8X) and Johnston Canyon (Route 9) will see schedule changes.
On the same day, the Banff Local Route 4 (Cave & Basin) and Route 6 (Lake Minnewanka) will resume operating for the summer season.
Here’s our summer service update at a glance:
🚍Route 1:
• Increased service to approximately 15-minute frequency from downtown Banff to the Banff Gondola.
🚍Route 2:
• Increased frequency to approximately 20-minutes from mid-morning, allowing easier access to downtown Banff from Tunnel Mountain campgrounds and the Fairmont Banff Springs area.
• Extended service to Tunnel Mountain Village 1 Campground and Bow Falls.
🚍Route 8X:
• Lake Louise Village North stop will become drop-off only.
🚍Route 9:
• Daily walk-up only service from May 19 – October 9.
Resuming their service from May 19:
🚍Route 4:
• Daily service from May 19 – October 2
• Buses will run between Cave & Basin and Elk Street Transit Hub
🚍Route 6:
• Daily service from May 19 – October 2
• No stop at Lake Minnewanka Lookout
🚌On-It Regional Transit will begin operating from Calgary – Spring schedule from May 19 – June 11 and run on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, as well as Victoria Day.
Summer schedule will begin on June 15 and run on Thursday evenings, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, as well as Canada Day, Heritage Day, and Labour Day. Tickets are available now.
