Canmore-Banff Regional – Temporary Route Change for Summer
📣Calling all Route 3 commuters!📣
In an effort to address the challenges for our regular commuters on Canmore-Banff Regional (Route 3) when Roam runs behind schedule, we’re implementing a temporary route change starting Friday, July 26 until the end of summer 🎉
From 10 a.m. until end of service, Route 3 will enter Banff using Banff Avenue, eliminating one train crossing per trip. We believe this will help to gain back a few minutes each run and to improve our time performance.
We want to thank our Canmore-Banff commuters for their ongoing patience and for continuing to take Roam during the summer season 🙌
Here are the details:
🌟 Departures between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. will continue to use existing routing, coming into Banff on Norquay Road
🌟 Departures after 10 a.m. will come into Banff using Banff Avenue and circle around Moose and Marten Street to arrive at the Banff High School Transit Hub
🌟 There will be no additional inbound stops for passengers along Banff Avenue on the inbound leg
🌟 Commuters who use the train station stop on Elk Street will continue to be dropped off there in the before 10 a.m. and will walk to the Transit Hub in the afternoon
🌟 We will use this temporary route until the end of summer
