Due to the Canada Day parades happening in Banff and Canmore on July 1 there will be significant detours and service changes in place for all routes.

Please read about the changes and detours below:

Banff

Route 1:

• Detouring down Beaver Street, temporary bus stops are located at Beaver St Fire Hall and the Mount Royal Hotel parking lot for departures between 3:30 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Route 2:

• Detouring down Beaver Street, temporary bus stops are located at Beaver St Fire Hall and the Mount Royal Hotel parking lot for departures between 3:30 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Route 3:

• There will be no service to the Banff Highschool Transit Hub, Fox St., Hotel Canoe, Hawk Ave Industrial stops between 3:30 p.m. – 6 p.m.
• Rotary Park (drop off only) bus stop will also be unavailable
• Please proceed to the temporary Elk St. Banff Train Station stop for service to Canmore for departures between 3:30 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Route 4:

• Route 4 will travel between Cave & Basin and Bow Falls from 3:14 – 6 p.m.
• Cave & Basin departures at 3:14, 4:32 and 5:15 p.m. will not cross over the bridge into downtown Banff.

Route 6:

• There will be no service to the Banff Highschool Transit Hub, Fox St. and Hotel Canoe stops between 3:30 p.m. – 6 p.m.
• Please proceed to the temporary Elk St. Banff Train Station stop for service to Lake Minnewanka for departures between 3:30 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Route 9:

• The 4:10 p.m. Johnston Canyon departure will be dropped off at the Elk St. Banff Train Station temporary stop.

Route 8X:

• Please proceed to the temporary Elk St. Banff Train Station stop for service to Lake Louise for departures between 3:30 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Canmore

Route 5C:

• From 10:00 a.m. to approximately 2 p.m. the Canmore Shopping Area stops, Canmore Collegiate North, Canmore Seniors Lodge W, 9th Street, Shopper Drug Mart stops are closed, please proceed to the Elevation Place stop for service to Cougar Creek.

Route 5T:

• From 10 a.m. to approximately 2 p.m. the Canmore Collegiate stops, 8th Ave, ArtsPlace, Seniors Lodge East, Railway Ave W and 10th Street are closed; please proceed to the temporary stop at Rundle Cres. for service to Three Sisters.

Route 3:

• From 10 a.m. to approximately 2 p.m. the Canmore Collegiate North, Seniors Lodge West, 9th Street and Shoppers Drug Mart are closed. Please proceed to the Bow Valley Trail or Elevation Place, or Benchlands Overpass stops for service to Banff.

Route 12:

• From 10 a.m. to approximately 2 p.m. all downtown stops (north of the Bow River Bridge) are closed. Please proceed to the temporary stop at Rundle Cres stop for service to Grassi Lakes Trailhead.
• The 10 a.m. 9th street departure is cancelled
