To ride the Banff local bus service…

Whether you’re visiting the sights or commuting to work, catch a ride on one of Banff’s environment-friendly hybrid buses for a fun, convenient and inexpensive way to get around town.

Jump aboard and enjoy the views!

Fare boxes on our Roam buses accept US and Canadian currency as small as a nickel, and up to $20. Pennies are not accepted. Please note that the fare boxes can’t provide change, so exact change is preferred. If necessary, the fare box will produce a change voucher that you can redeem at Banff Town Hall and a number of other downtown locations.

Banff local service – Where to pick up tokens and passes

You can purchase passes at:

Banff Town Hall, located at 110 Bear Street.

Rundle Gift Shop, located at 319 Banff Avenue.

Freya’s Currency and Exchange, located at 108 Banff Avenue.

Wild Rose, located at 127 Banff Avenue.

Day passes and single trip fares can be bought on the bus.

Within the Town of Banff transfers

Transfers are free between routes and valid for 30 minutes after boarding the bus. Ask the driver for a transfer voucher. Your receipt will be required to transfer to the next bus. Please keep it in a safe place.

All rates are in Canadian funds. Transit fares are GST exempt.
