From June 29 to Sept. 3, 2018, Canmore local Roam service will be free to ride in Canmore. We’ve compiled some FAQs we’ve received since the announcement was made:

Does this include the Banff-Canmore Regional Route 3?
No, this is for Canmore local Roam buses only.

What does this mean for me as a visitor?
Hop on and let Roam take you around Canmore for free!

What does this mean for me as a monthly passholder?
Roam will be issuing a credit to passholders during the June 29-Sept. 3 free transit period. Credits will be issued at the Roam office in Banff and at the front desk at the Town of Canmore. Please note: your credit will be calculated based on the expiry date of your pass.

Then what?
If you intend to buy another pass after the free period, hang on to your smart card and present it with your credit voucher to purchase your new discounted pass in the fall. The credit must be used by Dec. 31, 2018 and can only be redeemed for credit at the Town of Canmore office, or the Roam office in Banff.

What if I’m not intending to buy another pass?
You can return your smart card for the $3 deposit and then do as you wish with the credit, but we will only be issuing credits – not refunds.
